A Very Special Women’s Beginner Handgun Experience
Featuring Guest Speaker Valentina Richardson-Green, Founder of NaturallyArmed
This is not your typical beginner firearms class. This is a space created intentionally for Black women to learn, ask questions, feel seen, and step into confidence—without pressure, judgment, or intimidation.
Hosted by Tribe Defense Academy, this special Women’s Beginner Handgun Event combines our proven, beginner-friendly firearms education with the powerful advocacy and wellness-centered perspective of Valentina Richardson-Green.
You’ll receive the full Tribe Women’s Beginner experience—covering situational awareness, firearm safety, handgun fundamentals, grip, stance, aiming, and simulator training, while also being guided through deeper conversations about mindset, emotional resilience, and reclaiming your personal power.
Valentina brings a unique and much-needed voice to this experience. A proud woman of color born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, her relationship with firearms began early through her father, a disabled Army veteran and former Newark police officer. Her journey later evolved through more than 23 years of public service in law enforcement, social services, and training, before reconnecting with firearms as a tool for stress relief, mental clarity, and healing.
Her work through NaturallyArmed focuses on helping women—especially women of color—understand their rights, connect with their voices, and approach firearms not from fear or trauma, but from education, intention, and empowerment. Valentina speaks openly about using firearms as a means of grounding, self-awareness, and confidence-building, while also encouraging civic engagement, community involvement, and responsible ownership.
During this event, Valentina will add her advocacy-centered touch, guiding conversations around mental wellness, personal responsibility, Second Amendment awareness, and what it truly means to take up space confidently in environments where women, particularly Black women, are often underrepresented.
